Returns & Exchanges Policy
Eligibility for Returns
We accept returns and exchanges only where items are:
- Unused, unworn, and in a condition suitable for resale
- Returned with original packaging intact, including all tags, labels, and accessories
Customers may inspect goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, as would be permitted in a physical retail environment. Items returned beyond this level of inspection may be refused or may be subject to a deduction in refund value.
Timeframe for Returns
In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the goods.
To exercise this right:
- Customers must notify us of their intention to return the item within the 14-day period.
- Returned items must then be sent back within a further 14 days of the cancellation notice.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for all return postage and packaging costs, unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to the same conditions as returns. Items must be unused and returned with original packaging intact. Replacement items will be dispatched once thereturned item has been received and inspected.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item.Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable.
Non-Returnable Items
Items showing signs of use, damage, or returned without original packaging may not beeligible for a refund or exchange.
Manufacturing Warranty
At OptoKit by AK, our cases have been extensively tested and used in real-world conditions over the course of a year. Reflecting this, we offer a 12-month manufacturing warranty covering any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
Each claim is carefully reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure a fair and considered outcome. This warranty does not extend to damage caused by misuse, accidental impact, unauthorised modification, or the natural effects of wear over time, including surface marks, discolouration, or material softening.
Product Care & Limitations
OptoKit by AK cases are thoughtfully engineered to help protect and secure your equipment in everyday environments. However, they are not designed to be fully shockproof, and no case can guarantee complete protection against all impacts particularly on hard surfaces such as concrete.
These cases have not been certified for water resistance and should not be submerged or exposed to excessive moisture.
To maintain optimal performance and longevity, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or elevated temperatures, as the cases are not heat-resistant.
